Your opportunity As a strategic rock mechanics engineer, you will have a role in preparing Garpenberg for its future as a productive, sustainable and safe mining operation. You will be part of the long-term technical services team which is working on the mid- to long-term planning of Garpenberg operations regarding both spatial extension of mining footprint and ore tonnage production. This needs to be done in a way that is efficient and ensures long term stability, even at higher mining rates and greater depths. It is an excellent opportunity if you want to further develop your own and Garpenberg’s long-term approach to rock mechanics and strategic mine development and contribute to one of Europe’s largest mine expansions.
